This Post will help with any thing you might need on minecraft.
1: A cheap way to make a nether portal without a diamond pickaxe to collect obsidian is to make a frame of the
portal, fill with lava, and with each block of lava, pour water ABOVE the lava.
2: With the 1.6 update, use the hatches (aka trapdoors) on you incinerator so you dont burn something you want to keep.
3: With the maps from the 1.6 update, make sure you make like a big plate of cobblestone so that when you pull out your map, you see a big gray spot so you know where your home is.
